INTERACTIVE LEADER PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to all websites, products and services of Interactive Leader (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Site” and as “Interactive Leader”) and its affiliates or subsidiaries. The Sites to which this Privacy Policy apply are: interactiveleader.com and collaborase.com.

Definitions

Service: Means the online service that is provided on the Site, located at https://collaborase.com, or alternate website as designated by Interactive Leader.

Product: Within the Service the reference to the word “Product” is to an online document which is the core content creation target within the Service.

User: The term “User” shall mean any individual that accesses the Service. Every user wishing to use the Service must agree to the User Agreement in order to access the system.

“You” or “Your”: Means yourself, the company or other legal entity for which this Policy applies, and Affiliates of that company or entity.

Receiving and Using Information

When using the Site a user may transmit information of a personal or private nature, such as name, e-mail, company name, billing name and other billing information. Information submitted may be used by Interactive Leader to contact the user.

When using the Site you may view web pages, click links and perform other actions such as select a preferred language interface. Interactive Leader may collect information using common information collection tools such as ‘Cookies’. Interactive Leader may use the collected information to operate and to make improvements to the Site.

When using the Site you may transmit personal information and content to areas of the Site where such information may be viewed, collected or used by others that also have permission to such areas of the Site. Interactive Leader is not responsible for such information you transmit to such areas of the Site and also of any actions taken or not taken by other users to such areas of the Site. Unless you share your information with other users on the Site, or unless you instruct or permit Interactive Leader to share your information with other users on the Site, Interactive Leader does not share, sell, rent, or trade your information. Interactive Leader reserves the right to use and disclose user information if required by law, if Interactive Leader has a reasonable belief that use or disclosure of user information is necessary to protect Interactive Leader’ rights or to comply with the law, or if necessary to enforce the User Agreement.

Interactive Leader may collect information regarding your use of the Site, such as the name of the Internet service provider and the Internet Protocol address through which you access the Internet; the time you access the Service; and the Internet address of any referring website and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to any Interactive Leader website. Interactive Leader uses this information to support the Service and, if you have opted-in to receive communications from Interactive Leader, to send to you communications about Interactive Leader and its services.

User Privacy Controls

Users of the Site who have permission to manage an Organization workspace or a Product within an Organization’s workspace, have a choice to invite, or not invite, other users to join the Organization workspace or the Product. Users have a choice to accept or decline invitations to Organization workspaces and Products (and possibly other invitation-based portions of the system). Invitations are based on e-mail addresses, which the user making the invitation must know.

Users have a choice to configure their web browser to enable or disable Cookies. However, disabling Cookies may cause some aspects of the Site not to function properly.

User Information Removal

A user may remove information from the Site, including information in the user’s profile, in the user’s Products and in the user’s workspace. When a user removes information, other users will not be able to see the removed information, unless it is information that remains visible in the system due to the availability of certain historical information (for example, older versions of a Product). If a user has distributed or shared information with other users, the shared information is stored with the other user’s workspace. If a user removes information from the Site, information shared with another user may be viewable by other users even after the user has removed information. Interactive Leader stores user information in the Site in case a user requests account reactivation. Interactive Leader maintains back-up copies of all information in the system. Data in backup copies is not available to users.

Security

To help protect user information, the Site uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology using both server authentication and data encryption. SSL helps to ensure user information is secure and accessible only to the user to whom the information belongs and those to whom the user has agreed to provide access. Interactive Leader provides access to user’s personal information to Interactive Leader employees and to contractors who need to manage such information. To help ensure appropriate access and management of user information, Interactive Leader employees and contractors are bound by confidentiality and information management agreements. Failure to comply with such agreements may result in disciplinary action, including termination and criminal prosecution.

Interactive Leader has implemented technical safeguards and procedures to protect communications with the Site including communication of Content and Information. In addition, Interactive Leader will only disclose Content and Information in accordance with instructions provided by you through use of the Site and as otherwise provided in the Privacy Policy. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the security of communications sent over the Internet (including by e-mail) is subject to many factors outside of Interactive Leader’s control and, as a result, Interactive Leader does not guarantee the security or privacy of such communications. For more information on the security measures Interactive Leader has implemented with respect to the Service, please see the applicable Service documentation.

Non-Canadian Residents. You agree and acknowledge that Information collected through the Site or in connection with the Site may be transferred across national boundaries and stored and processed in any of the countries around the world in which Interactive Leader maintains a presence, including Canada.

Communications from Interactive Leader

Service E-Mails. Notwithstanding any communications preferences indicated by you, Interactive Leader may send to you e-mails regarding maintenance events or modifications to the functionality or delivery of the Site.

Communications to Trial Users. If you have subscribed to the Site on a Trial basis, notwithstanding any communications preferences indicated by you in connection with your creation of log-in information or otherwise, you agree that Interactive Leader may contact you regarding the Service during the term of your Trial subscription.

Communications Amongst Users

You shall have sole responsibility for any and all communications you initiate to other users. Interactive Leader shall have no responsibility in connection thereto. You shall comply with all data protection and privacy laws and rules applicable to other users within the Service. You shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Interactive Leader from any claim, suit or proceeding brought against Interactive Leader by a user in connection with any acts or omissions with regards to such communications. E-mails related to the Service are generally initiated by users, as a result, even though certain users may have opted-out from receiving communications from Interactive Leader, such users may receive certain Service-related e-mails initiated by you.

Cookies Use

The Site uses two different kinds of cookies. Firstly, a session cookie to keep track of authenticated users. Without this cookie the user would need to login on every request made by the user. For example when a user clicks a button or link (e.g. views the Dashboard, edits content, posts a comment), then the user would have to login for each request. The session cookie stores who the user is and that the user is already authenticated with the Site. In addition, the session cookie tracks which language setting the user has selected, as well as the most recent five Products the user accessed to create the Product list on the Dashboard for the user. If the user turns off cookies in their internet browser settings, then the user would not be able to use the Site. The session cookie exists only for the session the user is in. When the user logs out or closes their internet browser, then the session cookie is deleted. The second type of cookie is for the “Remember Me” feature available to users on the login page. This cookie is only used if the user clicks the “Remember Me” checkbox, and so this cookie does not necessarily exist for every user. This cookie stores a special code that is associated with the user’s account and allows a previously authenticated user to re-access the Site even after closing their internet browser and re-opening it. If a “Remember Me” user deletes this cookie, then the user would have to login again the next time they want to access the Site. Unless the user turns off cookies, this would be a permanent cookie and exist across sessions in the Site.

Privacy Policy Changes

Interactive Leader may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. Interactive Leader will post Privacy Policy changes on this web page including the date of the latest change. Copies of past Privacy Policy documents are available by contacting Interactive Leader at the address above.
